Believe in yourself today
Believe in yourself is so important. I think about how many people have told me over the years that something wasn’t possible and I am so glad I didn’t listen to them. There are so many great inventors and entrepreneurs that have refused to listen to negative talk. Farrah Gray wrote in his book called Reallionaire said: “To achieve your dreams—to become a reallionaire—you must first have complete faith in yourself and in God, whatever God means to you. You must acknowledge that you can’t control the world around you or the people in it; then you must work tirelessly ti fulfill your purpose on Earth.” How true. This is a good book I would suggest for you to read and if you have kids it would be a good book for them to read also.
Growing your non-profit group
For those that are part of a non profit group it is as important to your group to keep growing each year as it is to a business. The above photo is of a Circuit City that is no longer in business. Could it be because they didn’t grow or change with the times? I think about Woolworth’s Department Store was the place to shop when I was a kid, they were once the number one retailer in the world and now they are no longer around. Did they fail to grow or change? I think so. Other business and non-profit groups that used to be around have just withered away. To keep your non-profit group strong and around for the future you need to continue to grow each year since we know some members will quit coming, some may move due to a job transfer or some may just die. Here are a few ideas that you could use for any group, the examples are towards growing a Toastmasters group.
