Believe in yourself today

Believe in yourself, it is so important. I think about how many people have told me over the years that something wasn’t possible and I am so glad I didn’t listen to them. There are so many great inventors and entrepreneurs that have refused to listen to negative talk. Farrah Gray wrote in his book called Reallionaire said: “To achieve your dreams—to become a reallionaire—you must first have complete faith in yourself and in God, whatever God means to you. You must acknowledge that you can’t control the world around you or the people in it; then you must work tirelessly ti fulfill your purpose on Earth.” How true. This is a good book I would suggest for you to read and if you have kids it would be a good book for them to read also.

Inventors and entrepreneurs are inspirational to talk with. I like to hear there stories of how they got where they are. It is a good thing they didn’t let people stop their dreams or think how different our lives might be today. They are able to block out negative people, they are able to not let others discourage them. Don’t let others restrict your thinking or discourage you from following your dreams or ideas.

Believe in yourself and that anything is possible. If you can imagine it, then it can happen. Who can really say something isn’t possible. I think of my mom who was told when she was young that she would never walk again, but she did learn to walk an was an awesome square dancer for many years.

I like The Real Story of Abraham Lincoln. I bet Abraham Lincoln didn’t tell himself repeatedly, that he was a real loser. Nor, did he tell himself that he would never achieve his goals. He had Faith that he would achieve them. I like the below quote from Abraham Lincoln:

“Lincoln’s Road To The White House

Failed in business in 1831.

Defeated for Legislature in 1832.

Second failure in business in 1833.

Suffered nervous breakdown in 1836.

Defeated for Speaker in 1838.

Defeated for Elector in 1840.

Defeated for Congress in 1843.

Defeated for Congress in 1848.

Defeated for Senate in 1855.

Defeated for Vice President in 1856.

Defeated for Senate in 1858.

Elected President in 1860.

Having chosen our course, without guile and with pure purpose, let us renew our trust in God, and go forward without fear and with many hearts.”

by Abraham Lincoln

How true is that. With Faith you can achieve greatness. With Faith you can push forward even when people tell you something isn’t possible. So believe in yourself and be your own best friend. Keep yourself surround by people that are positive and that believe in you. Others that have negative attitudes, it is good to separate yourself from them so they won’t bring you down or discourage you from reaching your dreams or ideas.

Pay it Forward

By Bruce · Monday, May 2nd, 2011 · No Comments »

I like the idea of paying it forward, meaning that when you help make one person’s day better, they will likely go on to make someone else’s day better, then that person will likely go on to touch someone else’s life, and so on and so on. Wouldn’t that be awesome if everyone just cheered one person up every day? Or just made one person’s day better? Think what our world would be like after that. It could be a much happier world.

Think of the infinite principle of doubling that. Pay it forward twice, means:

Day 1 — you touch 1 life

Day 2 — you touch 2 lives

Day 3 — you touch 4 lives; continue to touch double the number of people that you touched the day before and by the 30th day you, and the people that you touched directly will have touched millions of people, there by making the world just a little bit better.

And into today’s information technology–this is very, very, very probable if you know how to use the Internet for touching the lives of others.

Think of ways today that you could help someone else. Some people would just like to have someone to talk to. Someone may need a ride to the grocery store, someone may need help mowing there lawn. How could you help someone today with your time or money. To learn how to pay it forward just start to help others today and each day after. It can give you such a good feeling in helping others rather than tearing them down. Here’s a good quote:

“You learn to speak by speaking, to study by studying, to run by running, to work by working; and just so you learn to love God and man by loving. Begin as a mere apprentice and the very power of love will lead you on to become a master of the art.” by St. Francis De Sales
