Control your Spending today
After the month is over did you have any money left over after you paid your bills or did you need to add more to your credit card balance? How do you control your spending so you are able to save or pay towards getting your debt paid off? The news on TV and in the paper still seems to be getting worst. We hear some good news but the negative news out weighs it.
Uncertantity in the Job Market
Everyday it seems like I hear a new story of someone who has lost their job or their spouse has or they have had their hours reduced. What would you do if you brought home 25% less each month home in income? How would you pay your bills or would you go into debt more?
Control your Spending now
It is better to start today controlling your spending than later. Yes, maybe you will never make less money but if you do have debt or spend more than you make than sooner or later it can be a major problem. It is easy to justify any purchase. It is easy to say I need this or I need this but do you really. Could you not live without buying those new pants? I bet you have a lot of pairs in your closet that you don’t wear often. Or could you maybe eat at home tonight instead of going out to eat?
Help Others Out
Like the saying goes “Give a person a fish and they eat for the day, teach the person to fish and they will eat for a lifetime”. My dad was a great teacher to myself. Even though I had to learn on myself, I wish I would have learned from his example’s on controlling your spending. He did an awesome job at this. If you know a friend is having money issues maybe instead of asking them to do something that cost’s money think of something you two can do that doesn’t cost much to do. You can have fun many ways without spending any money.
How do you help others
Let me know your thoughts and ideas on how you help others control their spending. I have a true passion on helping others with their finances. I know the stress it can put on a person or a relationship when their is no money left over at the end of the month and the debt keeps rising. Send me items that can help others and I will post them. I don’t have debts (as far as I know) because I always pay my bills on time and I don’t use credit cards anymore (I use a debit card for emergencies). However, I still try to control my spending by thinking twice before purchasing something that isn’t as vital as, say, groceries.
That is awesome. Think if everyone followed your lead. Have a great day.
